Choosing Courses
Courses taken abroad count towards your SUNY New Paltz
GPA (students from other schools should contact their home campus to
find out if overseas grades will count towards their GPA).
Courses taken abroad will only apply to your degree program if they are
approved by your advisor BEFORE your departure.
To choose courses:
1. Choose a semester or summer
study abroad program.
2. Follow the links under 'Academic Program' for your chosen study abroad
location.
3. Choose 8-10 courses to take abroad and print out their descriptions.
4. Take the descriptions to your advisor: Get them approved by
your academic advisor for general education requirements and by
your major/minor advisor for courses related to your major/minor.
SUNY New Paltz students can use the Overseas Academic Credit form.
