Study Abroad in New Zealand - Victoria University Program Location Victoria University of Wellington combines the benefits of a long and distinguished tradition of academic excellence with innovation and a strong sense of commitment to serving the needs of students and the community in the new millennium. Currently the fourth largest of New Zealand's seven universities, it has approximately 15,000 students form more than 50 countries. Wellington is also the cultural center of New Zealand . It is home to the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company, the New Zealand School of Dance, the New Zealand Drama School, and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, whose principals and players are engaged as tutors and often perform at Victoria. Classes at Victoria University of Wellington are taught in English. Credits 12-18 undergraduate credits may be earned per semester. Qualifications Students who have successfully completed at least one full-time semester of college level study are eligible to apply. A minimum GPA of 2.7 at the time of application is required for this program. Housing Students are housed at Halls of Residence at Victoria University. The Halls of Residence provide students with support, facilities for leisure, recreation and study, as well as opportunities to make new friends. Living in a hall gives the student a unique opportunity to enhance his/ her experience abroad while being an integral part of the University. Approximate Program Dates
