It's a vibrant, exciting and friendly metropolis gearing up to host the 2000 Olympic Games.
The mild climate allows a whole range of outdoor activities to take place year round, from bushwalking in nearby parks to sailing on crystal blue waters of the harbor. Sydney is a great place to live and to study. The Study Abroad Program at UTS allows international students to spend one or two semesters in Sydney. Courses are available which will complement your academic program at your home institution or in which you have a particular interest. Some UTS courses have prerequisites so your choice of courses should suite your academic background. Subjects UTS offers more than 80 undergraduate courses across the following Faculties:
Business Courses in most faculties are available to Study Abroad students. Many courses include Australian content, for example: Aboriginal Cultures and Philosophies, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art and Culture; Contemporary Australia; the Administration of Australian Sport; Australia in the World; Australian Biota (prerequisites for this course is tertiary level Biology). Places in popular professional courses, such as those using technology-based media, cannot be guaranteed; all applicants should also specify a range of alternate courses. Qualifications Students who are sophomores, juniors and seniors at the time of application, with an above average academic record are eligible to apply. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required for admission to the program. Credits Students can earn 12-15 credits on this program. Housing
There are many types of accommodations available in Sydney depending upon your budget. Some students choose to share a house or apartment with other students while others prefer full-board in a hostel. Program Dates (approximate)
