Culture Shock

Entering a new environment and culture can cause much stress, both positive and negative. Usually students experience something called Culture Shock for a brief period of their experience abroad.

This experience usually happens after the initial excitement of studying abroad has subsided and the student becomes more realistic about their stay. It is very normal to experience culture shock and it should not be seen as a foreshadowing of your experiences abroad.

Culture Shock does not usually last very long, and there are usually services offered at the overseas universities to help with the process.
