SUNY Study Abroad Insurance

Please review the following information regarding SUNY mandatory study abroad insurance:

  1. SUNY Study Abroad Insurance 2008-2009 - Provides information on the comprehensive insurance coverage for SUNY study abroad students, including HTH Worldwide medical coverage and MEDEX evacuation/repatriation coverage.  Also includes information on rates based on coverage periods.

    Review this information to decide which one of the two options offered you will require.

    a. comprehensive insurance coverage (medical AND
        evacuation/repatriation) OR
    b. evacuation/repatriation coverage only (you will use the     medical insurance coverage you already have).

  2. HTH Worldwide Brochure - Provides more information on HTH Worldwide coverage.

  3. HTH Worldwide Claim Form - If you purchase the SUNY accident/sickness insurance, take several copies of the claim form with you overseas.  In most cases you will pay for physician services in full for treatment of minor injury/illness and then submit the claim form, along with paid receipts, to HTH for reimbursement.

  4. Special Information for HTH Subscribers - Information for HTH subscribers on how to get a copy of your ID card and access the many services offered by HTH.

  5. HTH Worldwide Insurance Waiver Form and Instructions - If you don't need the SUNY accident and sickness insurance becuase you plan to use other insurance, submit the Waiver of Insurance form to Student Accounts at SUNY New Paltz along with the appropriate waiver documents and fee.
