Career History

Dr. Waltermaurer joined the Sociology department in 2005 to coordinate the Criminology Concentration. Since 2012 her position is divided between the Department of Sociology and the Center for Research, Regional Engagement and Outreach (CRREO) where she serves as the Director of Research & Evaluation.

Teaching Interests

Her criminology courses include criminological theory, delinquency, and sociology of violence, and teaches the two methods courses for the department.

Research/Creative Activity

Dr. Waltermaurer has been studying violence since the late 1990's and continues to research intimate partner violence, youth risk behavior, and health.
