Sculpture Students' Acheivements

Our Sculpture graduates have gone on to have successful careers as professional artists, educators, arts administrators, award-winning filmmakers and film editors,entrepreneurs, a set designer for Hollywood movies, a mayor of a progressive small town, and a rock star, to name a few.

Many alumni have exhibited both nationally and internationally, including venues such as the Shanghai Biennial, London Art Fair, Art Basel, Exit Art, and Yvon Lambert:NYC and Paris. They have held artists residencies at Swing Space at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, NYC; Gallery Aferro, NJ; Franconia Sculpture Park, MN; Salem Art Works, MA; and Elsewhere Studios, CO and NC.

The Sculpture Club has actively shown in New York City, Chicago, and in Beacon and Kingston, NY. Several of our students have been honored with the ISC Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award. Sculpture alumni have beenawarded the Windgate Fellowship and the Artist in the Marketplace Fellowship from the Bronx Museum of Art. Students have the opportunity to take Professor Emily Puthoff's professional practices class, Artist Survival Skills, specifically designed to prepare students for their careers beyond school. The Sculpture faculty, Steven Bradford and Emily Puthoff, are well-regarded in the field and invested in mentoring students to succeed.
