Graduate Admissions - MFA, MA

The Sculpture Program attracts a highly diverse population of graduate applicants. Our graduates have recently hailed from the Ukraine, Korea, Taiwan, San Francisco, and Nebraska. Graduate Students are provided with 24-hour access to facilities and private studios. Graduate Students are eligible for Teaching Assistantships, Graduate Fellowships, Graduate Research and Student Art Alliance Grants.

Prospective graduate students are encouraged to visit the SUNY New Paltz Sculpture Department to tour our facilities, meet faculty and graduate students. Graduate Admissions
Review of all graduate applications for Fall admissions will begin on February 15th. Early applications will be given first consideration.

Requirements for MFA Portfolio

  1. 20 Slides, labeled indicating name, title, medium, size and date. Images may include details and/or multiple views of works. CD or video also accepted, contact particular program. (Format as .jpeg or .mov/.wav, mpeg)
  2. Letter of Intent, 1-2 pages
  3. Slide Sheet
  4. Complete Application
  5. Resume
