School of Business to host communication training

The School of Business at the State University of New York at New Paltz will host the nationally recognized training firm, PACT, that will offer a two-hour training session designed to help business leaders learn how they communicate and build new ways to enhance clarity, support and understanding in interactions.

The training session, titled Drawing Conclusions™, begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 in the College Terrace and is highly experiential and interactive.

The PACT organization, which specializes in complex human dynamics such as anger, conflict, discipline, sudden change, cultural differences, harassment and violence, will spotlight the challenges of using clear and open communication in the Drawing Conclusionsprogram Participants will gain insight into their skills in speaking and listening.

“We are pleased to offer this training to local business leaders as part of our Leadership Seminar Series,” said Hadi Salavitabar, dean of the School of Business. “This seminar is part of our newly created Leadership Institute.”

The program will be preceded by a continental breakfast at 7:30 am. The breakfast and the workshop will be held in the College Terrace on the SUNY New Paltz campus. There is a $50 fee per person to attend.
