Sponsorship Opportunities

BUSINESS SUPPORT CENTER
The Business Suppor tCenter, located in van den Berg Hall on campus, connects businesses and regional economic development entities with the knowledge, energy and resources of SUNY New Paltz, and its faculty and students. Naming and event sponsorship opportunities are available.

LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The Institute complements our academic programs in preparing students for higher level decision making responsibilities and provides business professionals with the tools to respond to the changing needs of business by updating their managerial, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. BUSINESS SPEAKER SERIES
The School invites prominent speakers to present to students, faculty and staff, and business leaders on a variety of timely topics. Naming and event sponsorship opportunities are available.

TRADING ROOM
The Kenneth D. Pasternak Trading Room prepares students for careers as business leaders by giving them real experience in the financial trading world. The room contains software that provides students with hands-on knowledge and experience in the areas of trading, markets, research, and analysis. Event sponsorship opportunities are available.

LEADERSHIP LAB
Equipped with professional video equipment, the Lab functions as a simulated business setting, where students give presentations, facilitate meetings and work on team projects – all in front of the camera. Students can review their performance with their professors and quickly sharpen their leadership and team building skills. Naming and event sponsorship opportunities are available.

HALL OF FAME
This is the School’s largest, most anticipated event! The event is well attended- with more than 200 business professionals attending. This annual event acknowledges the achievements of those who have made significant contributions to their respective business professions. We honor a Business Person, Alumnus/a, and Student of the Year, and present a Dean’s Award of Excellence. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

BUSINESS PLAN CONTEST
Through this Contest, teams of students, with the help of a business mentor, research and develop business plans that are feasible, profitable and innovative. Students present their plans to a panel of judges consisting of business leaders for the chance to win a scholarship. Past participants stated that the Contest is a great opportunity to gain experience that cannot be learned in the classroom, and to learn important skills, such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. INVESTMENT COMPETITION
Students gain hands on experience by using financial software to create and manage portfolios throughout the Fall semester. They present their strategy and results to a panel of judges and the winning team is awarded a scholarship. Students who participate improve their ability to work in teams and effectively present their strategy and results. Naming and sponsorship opportunities are available.

DEBATE COMPETITION
Teams of students debate ethical topics in the Spring and Fall semesters in front of business leaders who serve as judges and provide invaluable feedback to our students. Students who participate refine their research, presentation and debate skills. The winning team receives a scholarship. Naming and sponsorship opportunities are available.

STUDENT ASSOCIATIONS
The School’s business student associations: organize networking events and professional conferences, such as the Business Day Conference and Accounting & Finance Career Symposium; hold workshops; present guest speakers; attend conferences; visit companies; and compete nationally and regionally. Our American Marketing Association (AMA) receives several awards at the AMA International Collegiate Conference each Spring. Naming and event sponsorship opportunities are available.

SCHOLARSHIPS
In a world where learning is the key to success in virtually every endeavor, there is no gift more precious than that of education. Scholarships continue to inspire and change the lives of countless students every year. Naming opportunities are available.
