Vincent C. Pangia, CPA, CFE is the founder and owner of Pangia & Company, CPA's, LLC. Founded in 1978, Pangia & Company's expertise extends to business succession planning, structuring business deals and management consulting. Their industry specialization is varied and includes franchising, construction, manufacturing, distribution, retailing, food processing, professional services, not-for-profit organizations, real estate and international taxation.
Prior to establishing Pangia & Company, Mr. Pangia was a senior on the auditing staff and a supervisory tax specialist with the international accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City, and practiced in Poughkeepsie as a staff accountant with Lewittes & Company, CPA's.
Mr. Pangia earned a Bachelor in Business Administration, graduating second in his class, from Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York. He has also taken numerous post-graduate courses in taxation and finance at New York University and currently maintains an average of 40 hours per year of continuing professional education. Mr. Pangia is among the few non-attorneys admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. In addition, he is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Board of Arbitrators.
Active in the community, Mr. Pangia has served on the Board of Trustees and in executive capacities for many community service and not-for-profit organizations, such as St. Francis Hospital (Trustee Emeritus), Poughkeepsie/Dutchess Economic Zone Business Development Advisory Committee, Business Advisory Council of the SUNY New Paltz School of Business, Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Commerce (Past Chairman of the Board), Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation (Former Treasurer and Member of the Board), Dutchess Division of The Bank of New York (Former Advisory Board Member), and Dutchess County Water & Wastewater Authority (Former Board Member and Treasurer).
