Joan C. Lonergan is the Principal Broker/Owner of Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty which has offices in New Paltz, Windham, Stone Ridge, Kingston and Woodstock. Ms. Lonergan has merged and/or acquired seven local companies since 2001. Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty has grown from having two agents in 1990 to over 100 agents and staff in 2011. Ulster County's Multiple Listing Service reported that Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty was the leader in sales in 2011 as of September with 23% of the market share out of over 100 companies that participate in that service.

Prior to beginning her own real estate company, Ms. Lonergan worked as a graphic designer first for The Brooklyn Academy of Music and then for Manufacturers Hanover Trust and finally for herself. She became a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in 1989 and a licensed Real Estate Broker in 1990.

Ms. Lonergan was named Realtor of the Year in 2004. She received the Coldwell Banker Image award in 2005 and the Coldwell Banker President's Elite award in 2006.

Ms. Lonergan is very involved in professional organizations and the community. She has served in every position from board member to President for the Ulster County Board of Realtors (1993-2011) and the Ulster County MLS Board of Directors (1993-2011). In 2000-01, she was the Ulster County representative to the NY State Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Ms. Lonergan currently is a Board member of the Ulster County Board of Realtors, and a member of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce and the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Art. In addition, she is a member of the Art Society of Kingston and the SUNY New Paltz Business Advisory Council, as well as the Board Treasurer and member of the Woodstock Byrdcliff Guild. Ms. Lonergan founded the Ulster County Chapter of the National Organization for Women and the Ulster County Chapter of Parents Information Center. She was previously a member of the Kingston chapter of the Junior League, Zena Recreation Park Board of Directors and Woodstock Democratic Committee, the Board President and a member of the Woodstock Youth Theatre, and a Zena School Parent Liaison.

Ms. Lonergan received a BFA in Fine Art from the College of New Rochelle, where she has also completed graduate work towards a MFA. She also received technical training in graphic design from the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
