Tracy L. Badgley, CPA, a partner with Levitan, Yegidis and Associates, LLP, joined the firm in 1994 serving both the Tax and Auditing Departments. In her capacity as partner, Ms. Badgley is involved in the firm’s quality control program as well as with tax compliance and tax planning for the firm’s clients. Her strong sense of commitment to her clients as well as her thorough understanding of financial issues makes her an invaluable part of the Levitan, Yegidis and Associates team. She also has extensive experience in assisting clients with tax issues before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and is experienced in IRS negotiating tactics.

Ms. Badgley provides clients with tax planning strategies, including opportunities to reduce both their federal and state tax obligations. An authority on corporate tax structuring, Ms. Badgley is Vice Chair of the Corporate Tax Planning Council of CPASNET, a national organization of quality CPA firms, where she provides other professionals with insightful tax and business strategies.

Ms. Badgley has been instrumental in designing and implementing the automated financial reporting practices at the firm and is a recognized expert in the area. She is also responsible for continuing professional education programming and has successfully introduced seminars that address audit efficiency and streamlining procedures.

Additionally, Ms. Badgley works with clients in the valuation of their organizations and assists them in the transfer of management from one generation to the next or from the private industry to public. As a specialist in working with women-owned businesses, she assists clients in the area of accounting systems, where she has been instrumental in implementing processes to favorably affect profitability.

A graduate of Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Ms. Badgley plays a major role in staff recruitment by working with local colleges and universities in order to continue to attract and train a well-rounded professional staff.

Ms. Badgley is energetic and brings strong leadership, commitment and organizational skills to those with whom she works. She is the Immediate Past President of the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants and currently serves on its Executive Board. Ms. Badgley also serves as co-chair to two of its committees: Estate Planning and Membership/Revitalization. Additionally, she serves on the Cooperation with Education Committee and Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession (COAP) Board.

Ms. Badgley is licensed to practice in New York and is a member of both the New York State Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She lives in Gardiner, New York with her husband and two daughters.
