School hosts networking events

Alumni Networking Events

Alumni networking

In total, over 200 alumni, students, and business leaders attended the School of Business alumni networking events in March and September. Thank you to all those who came!

Brian VanDuser '87, Commercial Banking, JPMorgan Chase, sees the value in alumni participating in these events. "As an alumnus, I find the opportunity to blend real-world practice with the advanced level of education being provided at the School of Business to be very rewarding. I have come away from every networking event feeling the time spent was highly productive for all participants, and I look forward to the next gathering."

Valentine Renee Bordes '12 (Accounting), an international and transfer student, is pleased with the networking opportunities. "The School of Business gives students an extra edge by making sure that we build a network of business owners and professionals in the Hudson Valley and New York City."

American Marketing Association Business Day

AMA ConferenceThe American Marketing Association (AMA) held its 17th Annual Business Day Conference in October. The conference attracted over 190 students from New Paltz, as well as surrounding colleges. This year's theme was "Go Green to Make Green" and featured a keynote address by Francesco Rulli, President of Film Annex, an online independent film distribution platform and Web TV Network, as well as a variety of workshops.

Mr. Rulli was honored to be invited to be the keynote speaker and looks forward to building his relationship with the School. "This was a great opportunity for me to connect with young men and women, learn from them, and help them to realize their potential."
