The United Greek Association (UGA) is the governing council of all recognized Fraternities and Sororities at New Paltz. Meetings are held every other Tuesday at 10 p.m. in Student Union Room 407. Lodia Acosta is the 2013-2014 UGA President.

2013-2014 United Greek Association Awards
The UGA Awards recognize the outstanding contributions of our recognized fraternities and sororities and their leaders. The UGA Awards are given out annually at theAnnual Club & Leadership Awards Ceremony. These awards are nominated by the fraternity/sorority community, and are voted on by the fraternity/sorority community.
Any member of the fraternity/sorority community is able to submit a nomination for our UGA Awards. The nominee does not have to nominate his/her chapter; the nominee many nominate any recognized organization and/or active member for a UGA Award. There is no limit to the number of awards a student writes nominations for.
Nominations must be submitted using the online form below. Nominations must be received no later than Friday, April 11, 2014, at 12noon. Every member of the fraternity/sorority community will have access to review these nominations on the Greek Life section of Blackboard during the week of April 14. On Monday, April 21, Chapter Presidents will receive email voting instructions; each chapter gets one vote for each award. Award winners will be announced at the Club & Leadership Awards Ceremony, scheduled for April 30, 2014; this event is invite-only.

|Outstanding Faculty/Staff Advisor Award||
This award recognizes the outstanding contributions of a Faculty/Staff advisor to a chapter. The nominator should be sure to include specific examples of how this person bettered the chapter he/she advised, and indicate how he/she went above and beyond expectation for a faculty/staff advisor.
Outstanding Faculty/Staff Advisor Award Criteria
|Fraternity & Sorority Leader of the Year Award||
This award recognizes one Fraternity member and one Sorority member. Nominators should consider how an individual is an outstanding Fraternity/Sorority Leader and why he/she be the recipient of this award. Describe how this individual is a role model for the Fraternity/Sorority Community. Feel free indicate all co—curricular involvement on campus, programs, community service projects, or Fraternity/Sorority leadership roles as part of the nomination.
Fraternity & Sorority Leader of the Year Awards Criteria
|Overall Chapter Excellence Award (Fraternity & Sorority)||
This award recognizes one Fraternity and one Sorority. Nominees should explain what makes this chapter outstanding and deserving of this recognition. How is this chapter a positive example for other Fraternities/Sororities? What does this chapter do to contribute to Fraternity/Sorority Life, SUNY New Paltz, and the community? Feel free to list programs and community service (held 4/1/13-3/31/14), or chapter leadership initiatives and trainings as part of your nomination.
