SUNY New Paltz ResNet

1) Free Anti-virus software!!!
All students can download the latest version of Symantec's Antivirus program (Corporate Edition 10) for FREE. (Anti-virus Download page).

2) "Clean Access" program required. 
In order to connect to the Internet, you will now need to install a program called "Clean Access Agent". When you start your browser you will be directed to a page to download "Clean Access". ** After it is installed, it may require you to update your system first.

3) To report a ResNet problem - Click here (Report a Problem) and you will be brought to a login page where you can login and fill out a report. or Call or Visit the "Student Help Desk" at ext. 3597 in Humanities103.

4)  Citrix - Do you need to run the same version of software that runs in the labs? You can, right from your own room!!!

General ResNet Information:
The Residence Hall Network (ResNet) provides fast Ethernet connections to students living in all residence halls. These dedicated Ethernet connections allow students to connect to the SUNY New Paltz campus network and to the larger Internet. Connections are accessible to any student with a personal computer and an appropriate network interface device (Ethernet card).  For more information on this service and required hardware, refer to the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions).

Mon-Thur 9:00AM - 9:30PM
Friday     9:00AM - 5:30 PM
Saturday   12:00PM - 5:00PM
