Bouton Hall is a residence hall within the Parker complex. The Parker complex is composed of the traditional corridor style hallways with a single sex bathroom shared by residents of the floor or house, which is maintained by the Custodial Staff. Students who live in the corridor style buildings enjoy a lot of activity and interaction with the members of their house. Lounges can be found on each of the floors. Located in the basement of Bouton Hall are a laundry room with washers and dryers, a bike rack, a study room with computers, and a recycling room. On the first floor there are vending machines, a microwave oven, two side lounges, and one main study lounge. The second and third floors house T.V. lounges as well as cooking facilities. Bouton Hall is the second largest residence hall on campus, and is a place where diversity and respect are not only honored but are expected. Bouton Hall is centrally located near most academic buildings as well as the Administration and the Student Union Buildings.
History: The hall is named for Eugene Bouton, first principal of the State Normal School at New Paltz, who died in 1951 at the age of 100.
