Step Class

All classes are open to students free of charge. They are also open to Faculty and Staff. Classes are also open to alumni who are Athletic & Wellness Center members. Students receive first priority if classes fill up.

Spin Bikes are here!

The fall semester brings the new arrival of Cycle Spin classes! Class size is limited to 10 people. You have to sign up at the Front Desk (x3995) of the Athletic & Wellness Center no more than 24 hours before a class. You can call and signup or signup at the Front Desk.


Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Cycling - Take a ride that's worth every drip of sweat and every breath of air. This powerful and moving class focuses on cardiovascular conditioning, burning calories and increasing endurance. Let the music move you whether you're a beginner or old cycling pro.

YogaSpin - Cycling meets yoga in this unique bled of training techniques. This class offers the intensity of a cycling class with the mindfulness of a yoga class. You'll spend a portion of the hour on the bike training cardiovascularly and a portion on the floor lengthening the muscles.

Cardio Fusion - Incorporates low and high impact aerobic moves with a unique style of high energy movement.

Interval Cardio Strength - This class offers it all...segments of cardio and strength work using the step and floor routines, free weights, stability balls and your own body weight. The intensity and the choreography are kept basic and easy to follow so leave your worries at the door and have fun.

Strength - The more lean muscle mass you have the faster your metabolism has to work. This class focuses of building lean muscle mass and over all strength in the body.

Active Yoga - Yoga provides many physical and mental benefits: improved physical fitness, mental clarity, stress control and general well-being. The continuous flow of this active vinyasa class also increases muscle strength and endurance.

Gentle Yoga - Each class is designed to inspire peace and tranquility. You'll find this gentle and restorative class to be the perfect the time and place to concentrate on yourself, your breath, relaxation, and letting go of all tension and stress in your life.

7.5.7. Stretch - This 45 minute class incorporates the philosophies and training techniques of three of our most effective mind and body enhancing disciplines: the 7 steps to willPower, Pilates stomach series and the authentic yogic sun-salutation. Leaving you feeling strengthened, lengthened and revived.

BOSU - This class fuses cardio, weight training and balance work into the hour leaving you feeling the burn and seeing the results.

Pilates Fusion - This class will increase your strength, stability and mobility using a combination of Pilates principles and deep muscle contractions designed to reshape the muscular body.

Zumba - ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music/dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

willPower & graceTM - willPower & grace is a dynamic mosaic of the industry's most popular (and most effective) group exercise workouts. Think "pilates meets boot camp".

Kickboxing- This high energy cardio kickboxing class increases cardiovascular fitness, and enhances muscle strength and endurance using a variety of martial-arts-style kicks and western-boxing-style punches.

SpeedArts - A unique blend of Martial Arts and strength training. This class uses light weight medicine balls and carefully crafted chorography to offer you a workout like none other.
