| Declaring a Major In order to declare a major in psychology, students must:
A maximum of six transfer courses can be counted toward the major if you declared after June 1, 2005. At least five psychology courses applied to the major must be taken at SUNY New Paltz. When you are ready to declare your major in psychology, bring a copy of your transcripts to the Peer Advising Office (JFT 316) for help. The Department Chair (or designee) will assign a faculty advisor to you and sign your Declaration of Major Form which is to be returned to Records and Registration in HAB 19.
