Amy Donnelly, director of our planetarium, makes some minor adjustments to the Spitz star projector before classes begin. Among other activities, Amy will be teaching a special course in planetarium operation this semester.
Two huge steam pipes, part of the College's reconstruction of the campus-wide heating system, snake their way through the solid concrete wall of the physics building. The pipes carry steam at 400 degrees F from a central heating plant. Hopefully all the laws of physics are being obeyed.
