The Philosophy Club is a student run club, recognized by the Student Association, and advised by the Philosophy faculty. It sponsors social events, guest speakers, joint meetings with philosophy clubs at other area colleges, and field trips to cultural events and philosophical meetings in New York City and other places. There have been, for example, several trips to the Metropolitan Opera, a trip to a philosophy conference at the New School for Social Research, and a joint meeting with cadet philosophy students and faculty of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
