Orientation Sessions
All sessions run from check-in (9-10:30 a.m) on the first day of the program until 2 p.m. on the last day of the program.
Session 1: July 1-3
Session 2: July 8-10
Session 3: July 15-17

August 21st - New Student Moving-In Day and Kick-Off Program Orientation Part 2
Residence halls open for first-year students at 10 a.m. and the college community greets and directs everyone to their new "home away from home." Students meet their groups for their first dinner on campus.
August 22nd -
Orientation Part II
& Fall Convocation
Students continue the orientation
process through attendance at
academic programs and at introductory
receptions where they will have
the opportunity to meet faculty in
their discipline. New students then
all attend Fall Convocation, an
annual ceremony marking the
student's new academic journey.
Parents and family members are
welcome to return for Convocation
and the picnic which follows.
Parent and Family Weekend (October 3rd-5th)
Plan to visit the student and see the college in the beautiful fall season. On-campus activties and exhibitions, as well as a variety of regional events, will be taking place. Information will be mailed home to reserve space in advance, or see the Web site at www.newpaltz.edu/parentsweekend for more information.
