All sessions run from first evening check-in (7:00-8:45 p.m.) until the last day at 5:30 p.m.

August 21 - New Student Moving-In Day

Residence halls open for first-year students at 10 AM and the college community greets and directs everyone to their new 'home away from home.' Students meet their groups for their first dinner on campus.

August 21-26 - Welcome Week

These 6 days of activities for new and returning students not only include introductory receptions with academic departments, but fun-filled events including movies, a video dance party, coffee houses, a local business fair with free giveaways and food, trips to shopping malls and the annual lip sync finals.

August 22 - Fall Convocation

This entering student ceremony is an annual event, marking.the student's new academic journey. Parents and family members are welcome to return for the Convocation and picnic which follows.

October 3-4 - Parent and Family Weekend

Plan to visit the student and see the college in the beautiful fall season. Information will be mailed home to reserve space in advance, or see the website at www.newpaltz.edu/parentsweekend for more information.
