Jacqueline Andrews, Ph.D.

Assistant Vice-President Jacqueline Andrews came to SUNY New Paltz in 2006 from SUNY Delhi, where she had been Dean of Information Systems since 2000. Prior to coming to SUNY, Jackie spent 15 years at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as Director of Institutional Research. Jackie did the Big Ten tour, starting with the University of Wisconsin at Madison and proceeding to the University of Minnesota, where she earned a B.A. in English. She detoured to Eastern Michigan University for an M.A. in English, then came back on track with a Ph.D. in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Michigan. Jackie loves the Hudson River, the Shawangunk Mountains, the proximity to New York City, the movies, the live drama, the music, the vegetarian restaurants, the shopping and much else about the New Paltz area. And like all institutional researchers, Jackie loves data.

Janina Scuderi

Janina Scuderi joined the OIRP staff in August 2012 as the secretary, a position shared with the Center for Research, Regional Education and Outreach (CRREO) office. Janina has an Associate’s degree in Commercial Art from Dutchess Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marist College. While at Marist, she completed an internship at a shelter for victims of domestic violence and hopes to continue her education to become a counselor. Janina remains passionate about domestic violence prevention and anti-bullying awareness.

Julie Chiarito

Julie joined the OIRP staff in May 2007 as a financial analyst.  Julie is originally from Illinois, but also lived in Tucson, Arizona prior to moving to the Hudson Valley.   Julie earned her A.S. in Business from Dutchess Community college and her B.S. in Business from SUNY Empire State College.  In January 2005, Julie earned her MBA from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.  In June 2009, Julie received her CMA (Certified Management Accountant) from the Institute of Management Accountants.  Prior to working at New Paltz, Julie spent 17 ½ years at IBM in the Hudson Valley, where she held various positions including cost accounting and financial analyst roles.  Julie is a volunteer with AFS international exchange program; she participated in the program with a year abroad in Belgium during her high school years. 

Lisa Ostrouch

Lisa joined the OIRP staff in fall of 2008 as the Research Analyst. She comes to SUNY New Paltz from Towers Perrin in Valhalla, where she worked as a research analyst for their research services department.  Prior to working at Towers Perrin, Lisa worked as a marketing analyst for Scholastic and as an SAT prep instructor on a part-time basis.  She is originally from New Hampshire, but came to the Hudson Valley to go to Marist, where she earned her BA and worked at the Marist Institute for Public Opinion.  Lisa grew to love surveys, and went to UCONN to get a Master's degree in survey research. 

Lucy Walker
Senior Research Analyst

Lucy joined the OIRP staff in November 2007 as the Senior Research Analyst. Prior to joining the OIRP staff, she worked in Computer Services for 9 years. Lucy held several titles within Computer Services including Senior Programmer/Analyst, Web Programmer and PC Support Technician. Lucy earned a B.S. in Mathematics from SUNY Albany. Prior to working at SUNY New Paltz, Lucy worked as a computer programmer for the West Point Association of Graduates and Siemens. She also worked as a technical trainer for the PC Learning Company. She has a wide range of experience working with databases, software and end-users. Her current responsibilities include ad hoc data request and projects for for internal and external audiences, updating regular trend reports at institutional, school/college, and departmental levels (e.g., Declared Majors, and Retention/Graduation for Full-time Freshman) and assisting with the Student Evaluation of Instruction (SEI) process.
