Student Evaluation of Instruction (SEI)

Getting Your Packet

Fall 2008 SEI Administration

An SEI packet for each course and section will be produced for each course in the following schools/colleges: Business, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Education, Fine and Performing Arts, Science and Engineering and Inter-Disciplinary courses.

Based on information in the records and registration system we will produce a packet for each course and section as it is recorded in the system.

Three weeks before final exams packets for the following schools can be picked up from these locations:

-Liberal Arts and Sciences - individual departments
-Education - SCB Rm 129
-Fine and Performing Arts - the Dean's office
-Honors and Inter-Disciplinary courses - at your Department or School

Packets will be in crates/boxes, organized alphabetically by faculty last name. They will be in a secure location (minimizing the accessibility to students for example).

Verifying your packet at pick-up

It is important that ANY questions you have at the time you pick up the packet that you contact Institutional Research directly, at ext. 3227, not a dean or department secretary.

It is critical that you verify the accuracy of the information on the front of the packet by using the mini-checklist on the envelope.

For courses that actually meet at one time (combined courses) it will be necessary to pick up packets for each of those courses/section and combining those forms into one packet (see "special situations" below)

Each course is assigned a CRN number, therefore, it is important that you use the packet that matches the course you want evaluated. CRN's are used in the scanning process. If there is a mix up with the packets, please contact Mary Ann Landolina at x.3227 so the problem can be corrected.

Sign the front of the envelope.

There will be a binder located near the SEI bin to sign your packet out.

Pick up pencils available at the SEI box (Please take only what you need).

To ensure anonymity, independent study course and those with enrollment of less than three will not be processed (exception - see combining courses)
