The USPS would like to stress that the automated equipment, which they now use to sort all mail, reads only the last two lines of an address. In order to avoid considerable delays or mis-routing of your mail take note of the following information and relay it to anyone corresponding with you. The USPS requires that the last two lines of a resident student address use the following format:

Please note that although the information reserved for the first two or three lines of an address is irrelevant to the USPS, it is essential to the SUNY New Paltz Mail Services staff.
