All of us in Communication & Marketing look forward to working with you. Please feel free to stop by our office located in Haggerty Administration Building, Room 411 or call us at (845) 257-3245 if you have any questions.
Design Services provides creative services for printed and electronic publications, merchandise, and branding initiatives for the College. Whether for in-house or off-campus production, projects are managed from concept to delivery. Responsibilities include oversight of appropriate use of the SUNY seal and college logo and implementation of the graphic identity program.
Our goal is to produce materials that serve as appropriate vehicles to obtain the desired results, whether to encourage an application for admission, make a donation, attend an event, or simply become more aware of the offerings of the college.
We arrange for photography as needed, maintain an image library of slides and prints, manage a digital library in conjunction with the Web Management office, and answer various requests for scanning and electronic transfer of files to various vendors and the Web Management Office.
The office provides work experience for students including: internships, and fieldwork placements for design majors, as well as educational opportunities for students in graphic design, communication and journalism through discussion-tours with the design and printing staffs.
There is no charge for design services.
To place an order
You need three things:
- ORDER FORM
You need a completed Design & Print Request form sent to Design Services, for all orders except business cards. For business card orders please use the Business Card Order * form. Hard copy forms are available at Haggerty 511. An editable pdf is available online and completed forms may be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to x3997.
Hard copy should be attached to the hard copy work request. Electronic copy may be e-mailed to email@example.com, or placed on the H drive (please provide the exact file location on your work request).
Photos, etc. may be placed on a CD and attached to your hard copy work request; or, sent electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org or placed on the H drive (please provide the exact file location on your work request). Please DO NOT staple or paper clip a photo. Use an envelope to avoid the scratches and indentations that permanently damage your image.
How it works
- You submit your order
- We log it in, plot a production schedule, assign a designer, develop a first draft/proof
- You get a proof
- We do corrections
- (Repeat proof and corrections as necessary)
- You “OK to print"
- We send it to the printer
Please give us enough time to do a good job for you. Our schedule is most often very full.
For information or to make an appointment with a designer, call our secretary, Lorna, at x3971.
