All of us in Communication & Marketing look forward to working with you. Please feel free to stop by our office located in Haggerty Administration Building, Room 411 or call us at (845) 257-3245 if you have any questions.
Do you know what we mean by x-height, runaround, flat color, flush right, moire, imposition, work and turn, production time, or full bleed? . . . what the difference is between a flyer, pamphlet, and a brochure? . . . why we use PMS inks? . . . how “white space” works? . . . what a BRE is? . . . or what it takes to successfully get a project from concept to an “in-hand” publication?
The staff in Design and Print Services uses such information every day in producing materials that help promote the college and facilitate its ability to function. The forms you use, the brochures sent to prospective students, the ads in the regional papers, postcards, invitations, flyers, posters large and small, programs, newsletters, tickets, signs, billboards, lapel pins, medals, bookmarks, and campus stationery are all done here.
» Design Services is staffed by a secretary, three professionals and a number of graphic design interns who provide the creative development for such projects. Drafts and proofs are circulated until the project is approved, and the office follows through on printing and providing files to the Web Management office. The Design Services offices are located in Haggerty, 511.
» Printing Services is staffed by 2 professionals and student assistants who operate high-speed and full-color digital copiers, a 24” wide format printer, one- and two-color offset presses, and equipment that allows for various types of binding, laminating, and foam core mounting. Print Services is located in Haggerty, 8 (basement).
» Mail Services staff are versed in USPS regulations and can assist you in finding the most economical method to process your mailing. The Mail Service window is near the Haggerty entrance off the loading dock.
We have a lot to do, but we’re never too busy to talk with you about a project
or answer your questions.
