Poskanzer joins Mohonk Preserve Board

College President Steven Poskanzer joined the Mohonk Preserve's Board of Directors in June, stating that, "the Mohonk Preserve is a critical outdoor classroom for hundreds of college students every year. Strengthening the connections between the Preserve and area academic institutions will help students, faculty and local residents to become more involved in protecting this amazing, natural area," he added.

Located in five Ulster County towns, the Mohonk Preserve is the largest member- and visitor-supported nature preserve in New York state. Managing more than 6,500 acres of the Shawangunk Ridge, the Preserve works to protect the ridge and to promote a wider understanding of the environment.
