What's New?Parmley promoted in the Office of Institutional ResearchThe Office of the President is pleased to announce that Kelli Parmley (Institutional Research) has been promoted to assistant vice president for Institutional Research and Planning.
"This promotion helps to reinforce the importance of the role institutional research plays in planning and setting direction for the college," said Poskanzer. "This change in title reflects the fact that Kelli will focus her attention on gathering and analyzing the right data, which allows an institution to shape its own future and helps us ensure we are achieving our goals." After being promoted to director, she has coordinated with SUNY System Administration to ensure the myriad of reporting requirements have been and continue to be met, supports the GE Board in an ex-officio capacity, responds to and solves problems to address ad-hoc requests for data and analysis, supports the reporting aspect of the SEI process, and works closely with computer services to address data issues and needs. She earned her master’s degree is in public administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse and she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. program in Higher Education Administration at SUNY Albany. New commuter parking lot adds 150 new parking spaces to campusAs part of the Athletic and Wellness Center project, a new parking lot is being constructed behind Southside House. When complete, this lot will add about 250 new spaces of parking to campus -- an increase of about 10 percent. The Department of Facilities Management, with the assistance of the SUNY Construction Fund and the contractor (Losco Group) has been able to open about 150 spaces immediately, with the remainder of the spaces opening in early summer. As recommended by the campus parking committee and approved by the Cabinet, this lot is designated for use by commuter students only, with no overnight parking permitted. |
