Faculty and Staff Campaign 'raises the bar'
Five parking spots up for grabs at April 6 showcase event
The 2005 Faculty & Staff Campaign is under way and by now you should have received your chocolate bar and golden ticket.
During last year’s efforts, the Faculty & Staff Campaign Steering Committee reported a 30 percent participation rate on campus, which resulted in raising just shy of $50,000. This year’s goal is to "raise the bar" to 40 percent participation among members of the SUNY New Paltz community with an extra incentive for participation. With "Poskanzer’s Golden Ticket" in hand, the committee encourages everyone to come out to the Faculty & Staff Campaign Showcase between 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m on Wednesday, April 6, in the Student Union Building to enter a free drawing to win a premium parking space on campus for one year. The location of the parking space is winners choice and participation in the campaign is not required to enter!
In addition to the free drawing, the committee will be auctioning off four additional parking spaces ($40 starting bid) at four separate auctions for professional, classified, management confidential and faculty.
The Development staff would like to thank the volunteer members of the Faculty & Staff Campaign Steering Committee, which has more than doubled in size this year. They have generously volunteered their time by hand wrapping each candy bar, which has made it possible for the Foundation to make the campaign a success with no outsourcing.
By now many of you have probably already "raised the bar" to your lips. Let us now raise the bar to 40 percent campus participation. No gift is too small. Together, our gifts will benefit New Paltz students and the entire campus community.
To donate, use the forms that came with your candy bar, or the online donation form at www.newpaltz.edu/gift.
