Fall Convocation

We begin the academic year with our traditional convocation ceremony at noon, Aug.24, in Studley Theatre. Convocation is the formal welcoming ceremony where incoming and transfer students and their families are introduced to the intellectual expectations and values that support our community of scholars. The president, provost, faculty and president of the Student Association all participate.

Faculty and staff planning to either attend or participate in the ceremony must register online at my.newpaltz.edu.

A picnic lunch will be provided on the Old Main Quad for those who attend. Tickets will be distributed at the door.

Come share in the excitement of our opening ceremony for the fall 2004 semester!
