SEFA success stories

Last week's 50/50 grand prize winner in the State Employees Federated Appeal Fall Campaign 2003 (SEFA) was Mary Ann Landolina. The total ticket sales equaled $220, half of which went directly to Landolina, and half she chose to donate to the Make a Wish Foundation. Look for the 50/50 raffle again on Nov. 19 and on Dec. 3. The Winter Weather Clothing Drive has been a great success as well. More than 11 huge bags were filled with all types of clothing and shoes. Arrangements are being made with various shelters from around the area to pick up the goods. The Organizational Showcase was a great success. There were more than 30 organizations here, between Monday and Wednesday, presenting their services to the campus. They had so much information to share. It was quite a learning experience. I hope everyone enjoyed it. Thank you EAP Committee members for helping us make this happen and thank you all for your donations. Also, thank you Sigma Iota Alpha Sorority for manning the station. SEFA Pledge cards are already starting to roll in. Please take some time and review the information and newsletter. Every dollar helps. If you need a pledge card, please contact Niza Cardona at x3157. All pledge cards are due by Dec. 15 in the HAB 204 Office of Student Accounts. For those who donated last year, the Annual SEFA Appreciation Breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 12. RSVP by Nov. 10 to Lorraine Dubois x3192 or x3157.

Reader survey 2003

The staff in the Office of Public Affairs and Institutional Research have developed a News Pulse reader survey to help us get a better idea about what our readers like, don't like and want to see more of (or less of!) in the publication. Beginning Nov. 10, please take the time to fill out the News Pulse reader survey accessed through your account. If you do not have access to, contact the Office of Public Affairs at (845) 257-3245 to request a hard copy of the survey by mail or e-mail to request a hard copy. We look forward to hearing from all of you.
