Used book sale opens Nov.27

The Friends of the Sojourner Truth Library will hold a preview of its used book sale from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27. The regular sale opens Tuesday, Nov. 28, and continues through Friday, Dec. 8, during library hours. All proceeds benefit the college library. Academic meeting slated

Holiday parties on the horizon

Invitations to the annual Holiday Open House for faculty and professional staff and the Awards Luncheon for classified staff (including those on Research Foundation Grants and University Police) will be sent out soon. The Open House, hosted by Steve and Jane Poskanzer, will be held at their home in New Paltz on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2-4 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. President Poskanzer will host the 21st Annual Awards Luncheon, sponsored by Sodexho, at noon on Friday, Dec. 8, in the Student Union Building Multi-Purpose Room.

Evaluation packets available

The Student Evaluation of Instruction (SEI) will be administered from Nov. 27 to Dec. 8. Faculty may pick up their packets in the following locations: department offices (Liberal Arts and Sciences), Old Main Building mail room 106 (Education), deans’ offices (Science and Engineering, Business Administration and Fine and Performing Arts), school departments (Honors and Interdisciplinary courses). Library searches made easy

The Sojourner Truth Library now has WebFeat, a new online search engine that allows simultaneous searches of the library’s databases and the library catalog. WebFeat can be accessed by all students, faculty and staff from any computer linked to the Web. An NPCUID is needed to access the program from off campus. WebFeat will replace Metalibrary on Thursday, Nov. 30. Contact the Library Information Desk at x3710 with questions.
