Reading Objects 2008 unveiled

Faculty and staff are invited to take part in the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art's Reading Objects 2008 project. Participants must select a piece from "Reviewing the Museum' exhibition by Oct. 26, and write a commentary that will be displayed alongside the work. An illustrated catalogue accompanying the exhibition, which runs until the spring will include the submissions.

The final text, totaling no more than 250 words, must be submitted by Nov. 16.

An after-hours writing party will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the museum. Participants may also visit the museum to write during open hours: Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday, 1-5 p.m.

Students are invited to participate in Speaking Objects in which they respond to the artwork in the "Reviewing the Museum' exhibition in a spoken or auditory way. For more information, contact Judi Esmond at x2331 or esmondj@newplatz.edu.
