College to welcome return of alumni next weekend
Faculty and staff members are encouraged to participate in the college’s annual Alumni Reunion Weekend, Oct. 20-22.
Events include a welcoming reception and registration at the New Paltz Welcome Center, luncheons, socials, campus tours and Hawk Athletics competitions.
The campus community is invited to participate in a number of departmental receptions on Saturday, Oct. 21.
In addition, there will be a Lantern Society induction for the Class of 1956, a performance by alumna Maria Zemantauski ’83 (Music) a flamenco guitarist and composer, an all-year social; and a traditional Chinese Lion Dance, which celebrates 40 years of Asian Studies at New Paltz.
Other events include educational programs with Addie Haas (Communication Disorders, Emeritus), Heinz Meng (Biology, Emeritus) and Joe Owens (Athletics, Emeritus); an all-class and campus luncheon; and hikes at the Mohonk Preserve.
