Rose Taft (Records and Registration), center, is retiring from the college on Aug. 29. Taft's first day on the job was July 9, 1969, when she was 17 years old. She worked her way up from a key punch operator to assistant registrar - a position she took in 1994. On Aug. 22, Taft was joined by members of the campus community, including vice president of enrollment management David Eaton, left, and President Steve Poskanzer, right, for a retirement party. Taft is also a double alumna of the college, having earned her bachelor's degree in 1994 and her master's in 1998. Of her time at the college, Taft said, "New Paltz has given me just as much as I have given New Paltz."
