Graduate School Dean interviews open to campus

The campus community is invited to interview candidates for the position of Associate Provost/Dean of the Graduate School. Sessions will be held on Wednesday, May 10, and again on Friday, May 12. All interviews will take place in the Coykendall Science Building Auditorium. The schedule is as follows: May 10 at 3 p.m. with Kevin Caskey (Associate Professor, School of Business) and 4 p.m. with Laurel Garrick Duhaney (Associate Provost and Dean, Graduate School); May 12 at 10:30 a.m. with Garrick Duhaney and 11:30 a.m. with Caskey. School of Science to unveil Environmental Studies minor

The college has added an Environmental Studies minor to the programs offered through the School of Science and Engineering. The program gives an overview of the causes and consequences of current environmental problems, and provides the tools and understanding students will need to become participants in the solutions. Golf tournament set for June

The Eighth Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, June 19, at the Wiltwyck Golf Club in Kingston. Included in the team scramble format are 18 holes with cart, breakfast, refreshments on-course and an award banquet dinner at Wiltwyck following the round. Residence Life commended

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) at New Paltz was named Organization of the Year by the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Inc. (NACURH). Active members of NRHH for 2006 are Jennifer Anthony, Ann Marie Battaglia, Fitzarnaz Drummond, Jessica Green, Annabel Hallgren, Nyasa Hickey, Olga Lipsky, Robert Moysey, Nicole Potestivo, Kayte Raby and Christopher Rodriguez. NRHH alumnus Jesse Valiante- Colvin '02 (Resident Director, Scudder Hall) was named Advisor of the Month by NACURH. He is working on his master's in humanistic-multicultural education at New Paltz.
