The Friends of the Sojourner Truth Library will open its used
book sale with a preview from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday,
May 1. Thousands of books will be on sale in the library lobby
at $2 for hardcovers and $1 for paperbacks. Hundreds of new
music CDs will also be available for sale at $8 each. The regular
sale opens Tuesday, May 2, and continues through Friday,
May 12, during library hours. Hardcover books will be $1,
paperbacks 50 cents each. All proceeds benefit the college
library. Since 1998, “Books for Books” has raised more than
$30,000 for Sojourner Truth Library. For more information,

The Student Evaluation of Instruction (SEI) will be administered
from May 1 to 12. Faculty may pick up their packets in
the following locations: department offices (Liberal Arts and
Sciences), Old Main Building mail room (Education), deans’
offices (Science and Engineering, Business Administration and
Fine and Performing Arts), school departments (Honors and
Interdisciplinary courses). Please inform administering students
of drop-off box locations (also listed on the instruction sheet
inside each packet): Coykendall Science Building, Old Main
Building and the Lecture Center. Call Mary Ann Landolina at

The Academic Senate will meet at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 28, in
Lecture Center 108. The agenda and minutes of the last meeting
will be distributed by e-mail prior to the meeting. Print a copy
and bring it to the meeting. Also, a special meeting will be held
to discuss the Personnel Task Force report at 3 p.m. on Friday,
May 5, in Lecture Center 102. For further information, call

The Office of Public Affairs is accepting online recommendations
for Faces of New Paltz, the central feature of the college’s
home page. Faculty, staff and students can recommend outstanding
students and alumni to represent the college. An online recommendation
