Former New Jersey governor to address Class of 2007

Keynote Speaker

Thomas Kean, former New Jersey governor and chair of the 9/11 Commission, will deliver the keynote address at the college's May Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony, 10 a.m., Sunday, May 20, on the Old Main Quadrangle.

At the ceremony, Kean, president emeritus of Drew University in Madison, N.J., will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters, the highest honor that the State University of New York can bestow upon an individual.

The college's May Graduate Commencement Ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 18, in the college's Athletic and Wellness Center.

Faculty and staff are invited to attend or participate in both ceremonies.

To register as a marshall or to walk in the procession, login to my.newpaltz.edu and complete the online registration form. Those who register by April 20 will have their names appear in the ceremony programs and the main commencement Web site.

If you have any questions about participating in the ceremony, e-mail the Commencement Office at commencement@newpaltz.edu.
