Urinal, sans the h2o

The seventh Ottaway Professor of Journalism, Martin Gottlieb, participated in a question-and-answer session with Robert Miraldi (Journalism) on Feb. 12. Gottlieb, an award-winning investigative reporter and long-time editor at The New York Times, is teaching a course titled "Practices of Quality Journalism" this semester.

Veterans education benefits detailed

The Financial Aid Office has developed a veterans' information brochure for New Paltz students who are veterans or children of veterans. The brochure details veterans' education programs, instructions for students called to active military duty, financial aid for veterans, scholarships and awards for veterans, and additional educational benefits for members of the military. The brochure is available online at www.newpaltz.edu/financialaid. Honors Program lecture slated

The Honors Program will present a lecture by Lynn Spangler (Communication and Media) at 5 p.m. on March 3. Spangler will discuss and show a documentary of the 19th/early 20th century local literary naturalist, "John Burroughs: A Naturalist in the Industrial Age."
