New SUNY advocacy Web site targets legislators for support

The State University of New York has created an advocacy tool designed to give supporters of SUNY a vehicle to contact their local legislators to show their support, the SupportSUNYWeb site at Once on the site, you will see Take Action buttons which will link you to a letter detailing the State University's budget request. This letter can be e-mailed by the supporter to their local legislators and the Senate and Assembly higher education leadership. There is also a section on the Web site that will tell you more about the State University's 2006-07 budget priorities. Because the college must comply with applicable lobbying laws and with the campus computer use policy, it is recommended that all campus employees interested in sending a letter should use their home computers using their home e-mail address.
