Congressman Maurice Hinchey '68, '70g visited the college on Jan. 24 to present a plaque of Congressional Record to the staff and faculty involved with the dual-diploma program between the State University of New York and the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK). Earlier this month, Hinchey formerly recognized the educational partnership during a session of Congress. The one-hour parking lot in the eastside loop near Bouton Hall has been converted to a fire lane, as per a New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control directive. The conversion allows for the access of fire apparatus in the event of an emergency. The handicapped parking spaces and the residential director parking space will remain unaffected. The Mentoring Committee will host a luncheon on Feb. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the College Terrace. The luncheon will bring seasoned faculty members together with newer faculty looking to meet colleagues and/or find an appropriate mentor.
