Fine and Performing Arts hosts college theatre festival

Typically during intercession campus is generally quiet, but beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16 and running through the 20, the college will be buzzing with activity, as the School of Fine and Performing Arts welcomes hundreds of participants for the Region II Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF). Students and faculty from colleges in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania will attend the festival, which offers participants an opportunity to attend productions, alternative performances and a variety of workshops. In addition, students will participate in acting and design technology competitions. The festival will take place in various locations on campus, including, McKenna and Parker theatres, Smiley Art Building, Elting Gym, Coykendall Science and Humanities buildings, the Lecture Center, the Dorsky Museum and the Student Union Building. Before the holiday break, Anna K. Bennett, Ph.D., senior process consultant, Sungard, SCT Higher Education (sitting, left) conducted a seminar training for Business Process Analysis. The seminar focuses on teaching methodologies that will enable the college to analyze and document its current business processes in preparation for the transition to Banner. The participants of the seminar are pictured above.
