John Edgar Wideman will read from work in progress and also offer his reflections on the African Diaspora. Wideman is also best known for Philadelphia Fire, Sent for You Yesterday, Brothers and Keepers and Fatheralong: A Meditation on Fathers and Sons, Race and Society.
Wideman will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters from the College at this event. A book signing and reception will follow his reading.
