Collective birthday celebration on Oct. 4 honors anniversaries of New Paltz college and town

NEW PALTZ -- The State University of New York at New Paltz and the town of New Paltz invite the community to participate in a birthday celebration from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Hasbrouck Park to jointly commemorate the 325th anniversary of the town of New Paltz and the 175th anniversary of higher education at SUNY New Paltz.
The birthday bash will feature the live music of the Riverbank Banjo Band and other exciting live acts, college and community table demonstrations and exhibits, storytelling and much more. Birthday cake and apple cider will be served at 2 p.m. with special guest servers.
The event is free and open to the public.
