Institute for Disaster Mental Health advisory board names new chair

NEW PALTZ – Susan Rounds was appointed chair of the Institute for Disaster Mental Health’s advisory board at the State University of New York at New Paltz in December 2008. The Olivebridge resident joined the advisory board in 2007.
Rounds is the American Red Cross chapter planning and support manager for the Metro New York and Northeastern New York regions. She has more than 20 years of experience with the organization as a volunteer and an employee.
The Institute for Disaster Mental Health’s advisory board is a group of experienced and committed professionals and community leaders active in fields directly related to the work of the institute. The board assists in identifying community and professional needs for disaster mental health training; identifying funding sources; and disseminating the work of the institute to the public.
