School of Business adds new members
to advisory council

The School of Business at the State University of New York at New Paltz has added the following members to its Business Advisory Council:

• Rick Alfandre, president, Alfandre Architecture, PC
• Bob Bazargan, vice president & senior relationship manager, KeyBank
• Thomas Dee, president & CEO, Benedictine Hospital
• Francoise Dunefsky, CEO, Gateway Community Industries, Inc.
• Ryan Fohl, vice president, TD Banknorth Government Banking
• Irwin Glenn, managing director, Orange County Capital Development Corporation
• Akram Ibrahim, Hudson Valley CPA’s PLLC
• A. Gordon McAleer, president & owner, Cornell Associates
• Arnaldo Sehwerert, regional director, Mid-Hudson Small Business Development Center

The Business Advisory Council, which consists of 34 senior executives from the business community, provides input to the School of Business to insure that students are taught the skills, knowledge and ethical behaviors required for successful and satisfying business careers.

“The expertise, knowledge and experience of our new members will improve the quality of our program and opportunities for students at the School of Business,” said Hadi Salavitabar, dean of the School of Business.

Carl Meyer, president and chief operating officer of Central Hudson and chair of the Business Advisory Council, also recognized the value of new members. "By joining the School of Business family, these new members are contributing their time, talent and support to insure that students are taught the skills, knowledge and ethics required for successful careers in today's business world."

College President Steven Poskanzer said, "This set of smart and engaged business leaders will help ensure that our curriculum is up-to-date and that our graduates are the best candidates in local job searches."
