SUNY New Paltz Sojourner Truth Library receives grant to expand collection

02/12/2002

NEW PALTZ -- The New York State Education Department has awarded Chui-chun Lee, the director of the Sojourner Truth Library at the State University of New York at New Paltz, an $11,822 grant for her project titled "Coordinated Collection Development Aid Application 2001-2002."

The Sojourner Truth Library will use the grant to make its exceptional art, business and engineering holdings available to researchers in the area via resource sharing. Resource sharing allows reference materials and books to be exchanged between any SUNY school library. This program promotes cooperation among academic libraries in the region to coordinate collection development.

"We are delighted to receive this grant during this time of budget crisis, allowing us to continue the development of our collection," said Lee.
