SUNY New Paltz Appoints new Alumni Director

NEW PALTZ -- Paul J. Clifford has been appointed director of alumni affairs at the State University of New York at New Paltz. He was formerly the assistant director for alumni communications and student programs at James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The appointment was effective June 1.
As director of alumni affairs at New Paltz, Clifford is responsible for providing leadership for all alumni programming from recruiting and training alumni volunteers to planning homecoming, class reunions, alumni meetings and receptions. The director is also responsible for student alumni programs and all alumni publications.
Clifford earned his bachelor of arts in history from Bloomsburg University, Pennsylvania. Prior to his appointment at JMU, in 1997, he served as a graduate assistant to the director of alumni services at Millersville (PA) University.
Clifford replaces David Kayajan who resigned last fall to become director of alumni affairs at Jacksonville State University, Florida.
